SPRING NERIKOMI WORKSHOP
We are so excited to welcome back Victoria from Swimmer Studio !
Come make your own colorful ceramics with the traditional Japanese technique of Nerikomi! During this workshop we will cover the basics of mixing colored clay then learn how to stack and layer the clay into a pattern that we will collectively choose via a google form.
Each participant will get a chance to interpret this typically meticulous technique in their own way. By adding our individual design preferences while embracing serendipity and playfulness we will each create something completely unique.
Get ready to experiment, play & let go of perfection. Each piece will be one of a kind and that is the beauty of this process. We will fire and clear glaze the pieces for you all.

Unlock the world of Nerikomi, an ancient Japanese technique that involves stacking, slicing, and pressing colored clay to create intricate patterns. In this hands-on workshop, you'll learn the foundational skills needed to design and build your own unique Nerikomi-inspired slab-built bowls or plates.
Fill out the google form when you buy your class and we will add as much as we can based on what the group wants to learn.
