Creating Abundance in Community

Artillery Ceramics is a Latinx-owned, AAPI/Queer-led community art space in the heart of the Mission’s Latino Cultural District, centered in three core values:

  • We activate our connection with the Earth and preserve nature

  • We connect to and honor our Indigenous Cultures

  • We grow and empower our BIPOC Community through the arts

We believe that art is a vital catalyst for community building and creating social and environmental change. With your donation we can continue to offer the following programs:

  • In-studio Workforce Development Program

  • BIPOC Ceramics Apprenticeship in Traditional Clay Practices

These new initiatives will complement our ongoing programs:

  • Financial Aid for Ceramics Classes and Membership

  • Free Community Ceramics Classes and Engagements in response to current events

Workforce Development Program

Our Workforce Development Program for BIPOC artists and individuals from low-income backgrounds seeking to start a career in the arts. We will provide tailored mentorship, skill-building workshops, and resources to empower participants to pursue their artistic passions and thrive in a new career. We work on catalyzing personal growth and economic empowerment but also foster diversity and inclusion within the arts community, enriching our cultural landscape for future generations.

Apprenticeship

This summer, we're offering an apprenticeship to BIPOC artists eager to explore their heritage and express themselves through the medium of ceramics. We will provide education on traditional clay practices, such as foraging clay and wood-firing, promoting environmental concsiousness in the ceramics field.
